Indy students, volunteers to ship 20 tons of aid
to Chernobyl medical facility for children
Indianapolis-based LifeNets organization prepares massive container
Who: Indianapolis students from area schools will join other volunteers to begin final loading of a 20-ton shipping container bearing medical supplies and other needed items for the Revival Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled Children in Chernihev, Ukraine. Donations from across the Midwest will be assembled and prepared for the shipment
What: LifeNets International, an Indianapolis-based humanitarian organization, is completing final arrangements to ship much-needed beds, cribs, wheelchairs, medical supplies and development education tools for children. The shipment will be sent by sea and land to the Revival Centre, which was founded to aid children and adult victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Where: Final items are being loaded on the container at Peine Engineering, 1440 West 30th Street, Indianapolis.
When: Final loading will begin around 4:00 on Friday, April 15.
