As part of the Day of Thanks in Lafayette, Indiana which will be Wednesday, November 20, I have been interviewed by six radio stations, one television station and have made a one minute announcement tape for another.
On Tuesday morning I have a live call-in program to do in Frankfort, Indiana which serves Lafayette, Frankfort and Kokomo.
Thursday, November 14
Vern Kaspar WSHW-Shine 99.7 FM in Frankfort
Discussed conditions in Ukraine, particularly in the Chernobyl area ten years after the nuclear accident. Station owner and interviewer happened to be in the Soviet Union during the actual accident on April 26, 1986.
Friday, November 15
Christie Bornhoeft Channel 18 CBS Affiliate. Dr. Tony Pacelli and Victor Kubik were interviewed live Friday, November 15th at 7:15 am. where we briefly explained what the Day of Thanks was about and how the Lafayette community can support the 15 area businesses who will contribute part of their proceeds to our work in Chernobyl.
Margot Walker WKHY 93.5 Interviewed for 15 minute program Insight which will air Sunday at 6:45 am.
We talked about conditions in Ukraine and how many people really don't understand the devastation that the Chernobyl nuclear accident really brought to people who were in trouble politically and economically and now have an overwhelming job to recover. Recover will not come quickly or easily. We want to help victims of radiation. The complete affects are not completely known and Maurice Frohn and I are trying to help in this recovery process.
Jean Shannon WAZY 96.5 Interviewed for 30 minute program In Touch which will air Sunday at 6:30 am.
Our focus was on informing the community about conditions in Ukraine from the standpoint of health and econony and why our people here need to be concerned. The little ways in which we can help can make a big difference to a lot of people. I explained how we network with others to get help to people, especially children....and how it really works!
WEZV 95.5 Dr. Tony Pacelli and I made a one minute announcement tape about the Day of Thanks. This will be aired several times in the days preceding November 20th's Day of Thanks.

Monday, November 18
In the morning I was interviewed by Dave Naylor of Purdue University radio station WBAA AM-920 for a program that will air either Monday or Tuesday at 2:00 pm. At 9:00 am I was live on the Don Pratt talk show on FM 98.7and explained the Day of Thanks and the basic problem of Chernobyl vicitms of radiation.
Tuesday, November 19
This morning I spoke for five minutes on WSHW 99.7 FM at 8:30 am about Day of Thanks in Lafayette. John Pierle asked about our project. Then at 9:05 am I was with Roger Priest on WILO AM 1570 on a program called "Party Line." We talked about why the community here in Indiana should take note of Chernobyl victims.
