East Texas UCG IA Helps With
 Guatemala Shipment

Guatemala Home

The East Texas congregation of UCG IA, pastored by Roy Holladay sent over 1300 lbs of goods to Houston for shipment to Guatemala. Although much of the material was used, many of the appliances were new, having been bought through www.cyberrebate.com where you can get 100% rebate on many things.

These goods included diverse items useful to the people of Guatemala. Along with the usual family clothing and food supplies, the members bought many school supplies for children and working tools for the adults. Sewing machines and material will allow for making clothes or draperies. A large radial arm saw will come in handy for building houses or furniture along with some hand tools and could also create employment for some. A high capacity water pump and piping sent to the group can be set up to bring water from wells into the community.

Many kitchen supplies such as pots and pans, bread makers and electric can openers, blenders and utensils will equip houses or allow for a restaurant and create jobs for some people.

The two pallets, wrapped, weighed and ready to ship with a packing slip were loaded on a pick-up and driven 250 miles to Houston by Aaron Dean, who after the delivery helped the local Houston congregation wrap and weigh their collections before returning home.
