Honduras not only lost thousands of people to Hurricane Mitch, but a year's supply of food was wiped out by the storm. After the sensational news of the storm fades, we feel the need to continue to help the Hondurans get through this next year.
The first shipment of food left from central Indiana in two 53 foot trailers for Gulfport, Mississippi the week of December 14th, almost a week ahead of schedule. This will fill three 40 foot containers and will be shipped from Gulfport free of charge by the Chiquita Banana Company to San Pedro Sula in Honduras.
A shipment will be sent about every two months to Honduras.
