Our visit to New Orleans February 25, 2006

In the same way that LifeNets helped in New York City with the 911 disaster and earlier this year with the Tsunami Reconstruction, we have been asked by people to help with our own "tsunami" the disaster caused by hurricane Katrina.

We have completed our part of the Katrina disaster relief mission.  Here is a summary of aid that LifeNets provided:
  • $8,500 direct aid to evacuees in Houston
  • $13,000 direct aid in the New Orleans area
  • $1000 Mobile, Alabama
  • $500 Indianapolis
  • $800 relocation to Oregon
  • IN KIND SUPPORT:  5 wheelchairs to makeshift clinic at Houston Astrodome and 100 longlite flashlights in New Orleans

This may have been the greatest natural disaster to strike the United States.   LifeNets has done its part in helping victims as documented in the accompanying blog.

Thanks you for caring.
