Today, September 11, 2006 is the fifth anniversary of 911.

We all remember where we were when we heard the news of our nation being attacked. We tried to deny it and pretend it wasn't true, but it was.  As the news unfolded about one of America's most difficult days in history people were driven to do different things.

LifeNets was not yet two years old and were asked "what can we do?"

We didn't know exactly what to do, but we wanted to participate in a meaningful way.  Immediately friends came out of the woodwork with offers of transport, goods, supplies to send right from Indianapolis to Ground Zero in New York City. We had Rotary, the United Church of God, U-Haul, Butler University, Red Cross and others who helped us.

LifeNets initiated a projects that provided instant and practical support in supplies to the efforts in Manhattan and to victims. You can see some of that story at LifeNets documentary about 911 right here.
