Excerpts from Sabrina Kneip’s Letter:
April 2002
Dear Mrs. Engelbart,
I am back at home since Friday morning. It was great. I enjoyed camp really. I had a lot of fun there…. We arrived in the evening. We had Christian living every morning and campfire every evening. It was first very hard for me to understand them, it was better every day. On the first day we had the one day hike, and it was really hard….

It was beautiful on the top because you could see the lakes. On the second day we went canoeing on a lake to learn paddling. After this we had survival training. We learned there how to build a compass and what you need for the forests. What you can eat and what you have to do when there comes a storm or wild animals.
Then we had Sabbath and our first showers. When we drive back to the camp from the showers we saw deer. …It was raining too, but after this we saw two rainbows. We went rock climbing on Sunday. First it was really hard because I don’t know what I have to do to come down …On the way to the place we climbed we saw a waterfall and chipmunks. On the way to the camp we saw a moose and a big elk.
On Monday we went rock climbing too, but on an place. It makes a lot of fun…. On the next day we went canoeing. There we saw eagles and pelicans and coyotes. …The last day we went white water rafting. For me it was the best thing I done there. It was very great. We saw a young eagle fighting with another bird. …After this we drive to Jackson where we spent three or four hours. There were a lot of Harley Davidsons…
I take a lot from this camp back home. There is at first to trust someone you do not know. In this camp I learned more over God and the Church. There were a lot of speeches (sermons) I can take home because they told us how to do things if we were at home. I will never forget this experience and I am thankful, Mrs. Engelbart and all that have given me the chance one time to see the USA and to know my brethren there.
Yours,
Sabrina Kneip
