The Audio and Video Collection

The Lafayette, Indiana United Church of God is happy to give a report on the audio & video tape project for the Philippines. We have $70.00 donated, 30 video tapes, and 210 audio tapes collected. we will give you a new update on Monday, February 21, 2000.

The Lafayette, Indiana United Church of God is going to take on the responsibility of shipping blank audio and video cassette tapes to the Philippines as per the following request from Mr. Ed Macaraeg. 

"A piece of cassette tape here costs $1; while a VHS tape costs $5. Since we need several dozens of these for regular duplication and distribution and considering the income level (for the employed about less than 1/40th compared to the average in the west; while many are under- or unemployed) it is somewhat of a burden. Perhaps, a box of each type will do. We will just keep on recycling it."

So, Dr. Tony Pacelli, of the Lafayette congregation offered to be the coordinator of this project. If you would like to help donate blank VHS and audio cassettes, please contact Dr. Pacelli at drp7@gte.net.
