LIFENETS SUNDAY BRUNCH

      SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, NEW YORK

In the spirit of the first two New York area fundraisers for the LifeNets Orphan Care Center in Balaka, Malawi, JoAnn Hawker picked up the responsibility to raise money for the orphans this year. 

Since 2002 her children and she have worked with LifeNets to distribute donated wheelchairs in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area.  This brunch provides the opportunity to extend our circle of caring to the Orphan Care Center in Malawi, Africa.   The added bonus here is that this brunch also allows JoAnn to serve my friend, Dr. Barbara Walls, by giving her a year off from her major fund raising responsibilities

25 people attended and nearly $3000 was raised.  Enjoy some of the sights and sounds of the wonderful special event.
