answers questions about our workThis conference was organized to address the large interest of healthcare professionals in understanding and meeting the needs of the medically under served, both in the United States and in developing countries. The purpose of this seminar is to provide general education for physicians and allied health professionals regarding these concerns. Additionally, it will serve as a forum to combine efforts, planning and resources to meet these challenges.
Objectives of the conference:
- Identify populations at risk of inadequate health care in the United States
- Discuss working models of public health intervention in the United States and in developing countries
- Perform needs analysis and plan the development of medical facilities in under served areas, both in the Untied and abroad
- Develop means of integrating surgical and medical specialties with public health efforts in under served populations.
Featured speakers were Chuck Dietzen, M.D. Medical Director of St. Vincent's Children's Specialty Hospital and found and chairman of the Timmy Foundation. Dr. Chuck spoke about public health concerns in the third word and discuss and discuss the goals and work of the Timmy Foundation.
