Sabbath Booklet Translated into Russian

September 12, 1998

sun2s2.jpg (27711 bytes) At long last our first UCG booklet has been translated into the Russian language.  The translation was done in the United States.   We had been exploring ways to economically and effectively publish this and other literature to Russian-speaking populations which include the former Soviet Union where we have brethren and interested people in Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova and Russia.

When Dr. Maria Rivis visiting Sabbatarian dentist to the United States came to the United States I sent back the Russian manuscript and asked her to give it to Ukrainian business leader Ivan Yurikshko who operates a print shop in Khust.  I sent along a copy of our English booklet and asked him to reproduce the Russian booklet in the same manner as the English version.

Ivan Yurishko did an outstanding job of producing a first run of 200 copies of the booklet.  He happened to be coming to the United States to visit family and is staying part of the time at the Kubik's (September 10-14th).  We have a few minor changes to make in the booklet.  The next run of this booklet will be 5,000 copies for distribution in Western Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Estonia, Hungary and other places.

Printing the booklet with a color lithographed cover in Ukraine will cost a very small amount per copy. Sunset to Sunset, God's Sabbath Rest has been very well received by the community in Ukraine with comments that the booklet is well-written, simple to read and convicing. Copies of this booklet will be sent to the United States for distribution here for those who request it in the Russian language.

I only have about 40 copies of the booklet currently, but if you know of someone who could read and benefit from it in Russian, please write to me at russian@kubik.org.

A special thanks to all who have supported and contributed to this effort!!!

Victor Kubik
