Posted October 20, 2015

While the confict between Russia and Ukraine is not in the news, violence and war continues in eastern Ukraine. We were in contact with our friends in Western Ukraine yesterday and they mentioned that a young man from their area was just killed and his body brought back for burial in the Vinogrado area.

Yuri Andreev froom Nova Odessa, Ukraine continues to help distribute help to people who lost homes, were displaced or are simply elderly or with young children who need assisatance. LifeNets is sending money each month for Yuri to go directly help them as these photos show. He has sent us two reports that I combine below with photos. Thank you for caring and helping!

July 2015 report

At this time, assistance was provided to eight families in the town of Krasnoarmeisk, in the east of Ukraine.

People were given food and products, medicines, hygiene products. In addition, they have been given badly needed financial assistance. Many of these people live only on social benefits, and they ask for help in the form of money to buy some time, fresh meat, fish, fruits, dairy products they are not able to buy often.

Young mothers use the money to buy their children baby food, dairy products, fresh milk, fresh fruit.

One elderly woman, who is pictured with his granddaughter asked for financial aid because she is seriously ill and only has a very small pension which is not enough for treatment.

These people with tears in their eyes thank for your help and kindness. Thanks to everyone who provides financial assistance to the needy people in the Ukraine.

August 2015 report

We have performed a search for refugees (in Mykolayiv and region). Through the Internet and the site of Nikolaev, volunteers were found several families of refugees from Lugansk and Donetsk regions, which have a need for food, baby food, medical supplies, office supplies for children, etc.

Each family of refugees, in accordance with their requests, provided food packages and some other things for their children. Below are photos of the families with a brief description. On the journey to Nikolaev and back in New Odessa where we had spent some money, we went several times to visit the city of Nikolaev (45 km from our town).

In parallel, some funds were allocated for the purchase of food for the brother of Valery, who in his house held Sabbath Service. His house is  the place they planned to celebrate the feasts of God (Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacle), and some of the funds were allocated for the purchase of products and the organization of Evangelistic meetings. Let believers in the joy of God’s feasts, in the name of God the Father and the name of Jesus Christ be glorified above all names!

Brother Valery actively helped me in this charitable work in Nikolaev, and with me is very interested in further cooperation and associations with the United Church of God because we would like to observe the Sabbath with you, and we are planning to hold meetings for the feasts of God, and all understand the unconscious state of the dead, the Millennial Kingdom of God on earth (in contrast to the SDA with their theory that the earth will be empty in the Millennium) and other important doctrinal questions.
