LifeNets volunteers Amenu and Tanisha Senaratne take care of the
LifeNets table at the Walk for Hope in Long Beach

We want to thank all the volunteers who walked to help raise more than $400 for LifeNets at the Long Beach Walk for Hope.  Special thanks goes to Sonali Fiske who organized LifeNets part in this.

Sonali writes:

The Walk for Hope on September 23, 2006 at El Dorado East Regional Park in Long Beach, CA was unlike any walk-a-thon you have ever experienced. The purpose of the entire event was to spread more love in the world.

Along the entire 5 kilometer walk route were hundreds of inspiring quotes, all of them hand-made. Also found along the route were several interactive activity stations.

What's more is that the entire event was free to all participants & included  a free T-shirt, live international entertainment, a book of inspiring quotes, & delicious Indian cuisine. The Walk for Hope was their gift to us.

LifeNets International was a direct beneficiary this year & received full support from all participants. Within our booth, we were able to talk to many passers-by & promote LifeNets many  projects around the world. It proved to be a very valuable promotional & networking tool for LifeNets.

We wish to thank all of our supporters who came out to the Walk For Hope this year & for generously donating towards our cause. All funds are currently being tallied. Total funds raised are forthcoming.
