Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kubik,

I hope you are both well.

My daughter Jane died on December 16, 1997. She was laid to rest on the 17th of December. She was complaining of headache, neck ache and vomiting. That was on December 5th. She put on treatment for meningitis after treating her for malaria. She was responding to treatment well, but severe oral trauma compounded the whole procedure until she died.

I went with her to the Feast in Zimbabwe. She sang special music at the Feast. She never fellowshipped with the Worldwide Church of God after the Feast. She joined us until the day she died. She was 22 years old and was teaching computer at a certain business college in town.

I gave your address to Mr. Mukarati. I hope they managed to write you. Mr. Katiza told me he was going to write you, too.

I hope you received the letter I sent with Mr. Burk McNair. We were happy to see them. I remember to have read some articles written by the McNairs in the Plain Truth.

We hope to get the container in January next year as I read in the update you sent with Mr. McNair.

We haven't received heavy rains yet. The El Niņo phenomenon may affect us because this time we would be having normal rainfall not just light showers. I hope Beverly is fine.

Alice is greatly grieved by the death of June. We know we will see her again in the millennium.

Lots of love from
Gladstone and Alice

As many of your aware, we have been shipping aid to help people in Malawi in care of Mr. and Mrs. Gladstone Chonde, UCG members who run Malakia Clinic. We are collecting for a 20 ton container to be shipped by the Department of Defense from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Shipment was to be this month, but administrative delays are pushing that date back a few months which is sad because we need the blankets, medicine and other goods to get there as soon as possible. A tremendous amount of work in helping with this project has been done by Salt Lake City pastor Bill Jahns and by Mrs. Robert Dick from the Seattle area.

I have just heard from the Chonde's who write of the tragic death of their daughter last month. For those who would like, it would be good if you could write them a note of encouragement. Their address is:
