One of the problems in a poor country like Malawi is the quality of housing for the residents of that country. Malawi normally receives a lot of rainfall during the summer months of the year. Mr. Lawrence Chipendo had some homes that were rented out to Malawi residents. Unfortunately, the roofs on his houses were in such bad repair that residents moved out during the rainy season because of the leaks in the roof. Thanks for a relatively small grant from LifeNets, Mr. Chipendo was able to repair all the roofs on the rental homes and residents are now able to live there during the rainy season. This project was a simple one that brought benefits to both the renters and the owner of the property who is now able to rent out these homes for the whole season.
