William H. Carrell (1932-2008)

William H. (Harold) Carrell, 76, of Robinson, Illinois, died at 11:05 am Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. He was born January 12, 1932 in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Oscar William Carrell and Eula Martin Carrell. he word for Texaco for 32 years before retiring in 1985,. He was a member of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Lawrenceville American Legion Post.

He married Joan Heath on January 29, 1955 and she survives. She is a member of the United Church of God in Terre Haute.  He is also survived by his two daughters and a son-in-law, Suzanne Courtney, Robinson, and Suzette and her husband Michael Potts of Indianapolis; three sisters, Lousie VanGundy, La Guna Migel, CA, Greta White, Indianapolis, and Phyllis Cummins, Lawrenceville; three grandsons, one granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Dennis Carrell in 2000, three bothers; and two sisters.

Private family graveside services will be held in the Lawrenceville Cemetery, Lawrenceville, IL.
