Ukrainian Sabbatarians Launch Good News Magazine April 9, 1997

When I visited Victor Pavliy, head of Mission Nazareth, in Kiev last December, he told me that the Sabbatarians will call their first periodical the Good News. He said it was a perfect name and was chosen because of respect to the United Church of God and their flagship magazine.

The first edition is four pages long. Here is a translation of the masthead of the magazine:

The Good News
A Publication of Mission Nazareth. Founded April 9, 1997 No. 1

In your hands you hold the Good News. We thank God who makes this possible to elucidate His Word.

Our desire: For everyone to rely on the Living God.

Our goal: to turn brethren's hearts to mercy and good works, help and the study of the Holy Scriptures.

In this issue you will read about how our association was formed, a short article about biblical subjects and a few questions from the Proverbs of Solomon.

We pray and hope that this will become useful in helping us better acquaint us with God and His ressurected Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Here's a look at the first page. We hope to translate the first article shortly and place it on this web site. It is entitled "That They May Be One." Here is the translation.
