Thank You from Tajikistan Refugees
 for LifeNets Assistance

February 27, 2001

On April 3, 2000, LifeNets donated $4000 to help sustain refugees from Tajikistan in their new homeland in Ukraine. It was given to the leader of the group who came to visit his brother who lives in the United States.  We met together in Southwestern Missouri.

They write this letter of thanks and explain how the donation has helped sustain them through this past winter. Their incredible story of flight from war-torn Tajikistan is told in

Peace to you our dear brother in Christ, Victor!

With heartfelt Christian greetings to you from the entire church of the village of Kamishani.

From our heart we thank to you and God, that in this year you did not forget our needs and gave us the ability to prepare for winter.

Praise God, may the Lord repay you for this good deed.  In these difficult times, when people of this earth sigh from fear: ”How will we survive?”, we say “Praise God! We are fed and clothed.”

We purchased:

$   360   1 ton sunflower oil
$ 2000   19 tons potatoes
$   800    2 tons sugar
$   340    1 ton buckwheat groats
$   400    1 ton rice

With our average pay of $1.50 - $3.00 per day, our brothers and sisters are not able to make such preparations, even though we work 8 to 12 hours per day.
