Informing the Public on TV and Radio

As part of the Day of Thanks in Lafayette, Indiana which will be Wednesday, November 20, I have been interviewed by six radio stations, one television station and have made a one minute announcement tape for another.

On Tuesday morning I have a live call-in program to do in Frankfort, Indiana which serves Lafayette, Frankfort and Kokomo.

Thursday, November 14

Vern Kaspar WSHW-Shine 99.7 FM in Frankfort
Discussed conditions in Ukraine, particularly in the Chernobyl area ten years after the nuclear accident. Station owner and interviewer happened to be in the Soviet Union during the actual accident on April 26, 1986.

Christie Bornhoeft Channel 18 CBS Affiliate. Dr. Tony Pacelli and Victor Kubik were interviewed live Friday, November 15th at 7:15 am. where we briefly explained what the Day of Thanks was about and how the Lafayette community can support the 15 area businesses who will contribute part of their proceeds to our work in Chernobyl.

Margot Walker WKHY 93.5 Interviewed for 15 minute program Insight which will air Sunday at 6:45 am.

We talked about conditions in Ukraine and how many people really don't understand the devastation that the Chernobyl nuclear accident really brought to people who were in trouble politically and economically and now have an overwhelming job to recover. Recover will not come quickly or easily. We want to help victims of radiation. The complete affects are not completely known and Maurice Frohn and I are trying to help in this recovery process.

Jean Shannon WAZY 96.5 Interviewed for 30 minute program In Touch which will air Sunday at 6:30 am.

Our focus was on informing the community about conditions in Ukraine from the standpoint of health and econony and why our people here need to be concerned. The little ways in which we can help can make a big difference to a lot of people. I explained how we network with others to get help to people, especially children....and how it really works!

WEZV 95.5 Dr. Tony Pacelli and I made a one minute announcement tape about the Day of Thanks. This will be aired several times in the days preceding November 20th's Day of Thanks.

I was overwhelemed by the interest and attention of Vern Kaspar, Christie Bornhoeft, Margot Walker and Jean Shannon for this project. THANKS!
