LifeNets Provides 20 Passenger Van for Vinogradov Street Children June 8, 2007 See more at Vinogradov Home Page Since 2001 LifeNets has been helping Vasyl and Irina Polichko care for 35-50 children in the town of Vinogradov. We have provided financing for food and other expenses. For the past two years there has been an increasing need to have more reliable transportation for the children. We finally have it!
We bought a late model Mercedes diesel van and converted it into a 20 passenger van. We give special thanks to our friends in California and Indiana who provided the financing. The conversion was done by a pastor in Minden, Germany. The job is now complete and we are working on papers to enter it duty-free into Ukraine for use by the Light of Love mission that cares for the children. We want you to see the photos that we just received from the project direct Rudi Schumacher in Singen, Germany. Hopefully, it won't be long before the van can be driven from Germany and successfully cross the border into western Ukraine. |
