In 2019, Lifenets Wheelchair Project was able to help those suffering from MS, paralysis, COPD, etc by transferring wheelchairs and other medical devices all over the US. We had a record year in matches which totaled 111. We were fortunate enough that a medical center in Twin Falls, ID donated many items to us that we placed in thenearby area. I’m amazed that many can benefit from these donations and then pass them on. Below is a story about of someone who could not obtain a wheelchair through insurance.

“My name is Anthony and I have a form of muscular dystrophy called charcot marie tooth. I've been looking at scooters for a while.I’m 39 years old and have had this disease since birth. I went on permanent disability 4 years ago. My disease causes muscle wasting and I have to wear leg braces to walk. I'm ok on my feet, I sometimes stumble and fall but it's hard to walk long distances and a scooter would help greatly. I have 5 children. I have 13yr old twins, a 10 yr old, and 8 yr old twins, all boys. One of my oldest has the same disease and just got back from California where he had major foot surgery so he would also benefit from it. “

We are able to fill a gap where unwanted or unneeded wheelchairs and other medical supplies are transferred to those who are desperate for them.
