International Disabilities Day Celebrated in Chernihiv, Ukraine

We marvel at the optimism and resilience of our friends in Ukraine whose country is at war with Russia, with the fighting taking place on their soil close by. This note and photos come from Dr. Natalia Zenchenko. wife of Dr. Vasyl Pasichnyk, "Revival" Centre Director.  The children at the rehabilitation center celebrated the day and did a fund-raiser for a soldier on the front lines, the husband of the psychologist at the Centre.

Dear friends Victor and Beverly,

We are sending you photos from the events held in honor of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated annually on December 3rd. The event took place in the music hall of “Revival,” and you can see the smiles of happy children in these photos.

Additionally, a fair was held today to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All the items for sale were made by the children together with their rehabilitation teachers. The funds raised will be used to purchase a night vision device for a soldier (the husband of our psychologist) who is currently on the front lines.

With love and gratitude,

Vasyl, Natalia, and everyone at “Revival ”
